Oven Baking
1. Preheat Oven for Proofing:
Preheat your oven to its lowest setting (usually 150–170°F).
2. Prepare Baking Sheet:
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place the uncooked doughnuts on it.
3. Set Up Oven for Proofing:
- Place oven racks so you have space for a pan of water on the lower rack and the baking sheet on the upper rack.
- Boil 6 cups of water on the stove.
- Pour the boiling water into a 9×13 pan and place it on the lower rack of the oven.
- Place the cookie sheet with doughnuts on the upper rack.
4. Proof the Doughnuts:
Let the doughnuts rise in the warm, steamy oven until doubled in size (about 40–60 minutes).
5. Remove Doughnuts:
Once proofed, take the doughnuts out of the oven. Now choose your cooking method below.v
Frying in Oil
1. Heat Oil:
Add 3–4 inches of your preferred oil to a saucepan. Heat the oil to 340–350°F (use a thermometer for accuracy).
2. Fry Doughnuts:
Carefully place the proofed doughnuts into the hot oil. Fry each side for about 1 minute and 10 seconds.
3. Drain:
Remove doughnuts and place them on paper towels for about 30 seconds to absorb excess oil.
4. Glaze:
Dip the warm doughnuts into your glaze of choice.
5. Enjoy!

Air Fryer
1. Preheat Air Fryer:
Set your air fryer to 350°F.
2. Air Fry Doughnuts:
Place proofed doughnuts in the air fryer basket. Air fry each side for 1 minute 30 seconds to 1 minute 40 seconds.
3. Glaze:
Remove from air fryer and dip into your glaze of choice.
4. Enjoy!
